The browser works, but it has not been released yet: the installer is signed with a development certificate, so Windows will warn about an unknown publisher. We would rather say so here than leave you alone with a blue screen.

It ships in the browser and is on from the first run. Across four news sites the number of third-party hosts that actually served data fell from 623 to 122 — 80% fewer, between 76% and 87% depending on the site. Not one of the seven marked ad slots survived.
The browser does not sign in to Google, does not sync your data and sends no usage statistics. Google Safe Browsing is off: Sverk checks dangerous sites on your device. By itself it contacts Google only for security update files — such as certificate revocation lists — and on some connection errors. Which files it needs, it asks through our server, without your address or cookies.
The Ministry of Digital Development root certificate is compiled into the browser. Bank and government sites open straight away — nothing to download and install by hand, and no need to turn certificate checking off.
The browser updates from our server rather than somebody else’s infrastructure. Every update is signed, and the signature is checked before anything is unpacked or run.

Because the installer is signed with a development certificate rather than one bought from a certificate authority. Windows does not know the publisher and says so. That is expected for a build that has not been released, and we would rather write it here than pretend the blue screen will not appear.

Nothing. The browser is free, there is nothing to pay for and no subscription.
Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit; Android 10 and later; iOS and iPadOS 16 and later. Sverk for Android is on RuStore and Google Play, and for iPhone and iPad on the App Store. There are no macOS or Linux builds yet.
Download the file with the "Download APK" button and open it. Android will ask whether the browser you downloaded it with may install apps; allow it. Google Play Protect may offer to scan the app: it does that for every app not from a store.
Sverk is built on Chromium — the open engine behind Chrome, Edge and Yandex Browser. We did not write a browser from scratch and we do not pretend we did. What we did was remove the things that send data where you did not ask, build in an ad blocker, add Russian root certificates and stand up our own update infrastructure. Everything measured on this page was measured by us, and we publish the method along with the number.
