Terms of use
This is an agreement between you and Destruction LLC about the Sverk browser for Windows, Android and iPhone and the sverk.ai website. By installing or using Sverk you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install Sverk, and remove it.
Who we are
Sverk is made and distributed by Destruction LLC (“we”). Send questions, claims and notices about these terms to support@sverk.ai.
What you get
We let you install Sverk on your devices and use it free of charge, for yourself and for work. The licence is non-exclusive, you cannot transfer it, and it lasts as long as you follow these terms.
Get Sverk only from sverk.ai and from the app stores where we publish it ourselves. A copy from anywhere else may have been altered, and we are not responsible for it.
Open source
Sverk for Windows and Android is built on the open-source Chromium project. Sverk for iPhone shows pages with the system engine of iOS. Sverk includes other open-source components too, each under its own licence. The list is in the browser itself: on a computer, it is the chrome://credits page.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights those licences give you.
Names and marks
Sverk is not a Google product and is not affiliated with Google LLC. Chromium, Google, Yandex, Apple and other names belong to their owners. The Sverk name and mark are ours: do not use them to pass something else off as Sverk.
Third-party sites and services
Sverk opens sites and services we do not own: search engines, Google’s AI Mode in the AI chat, the page translation service, news feed sources and the videos in the feed. They are responsible for their content, for how they work and for how they handle your data, under their own terms and policies.
We do not promise that every such service will be available always and everywhere. If a service changes or closes, Sverk may stop working with it.
Blocking and warnings
The blocker removes ads, trackers and cookie banners using rule lists: open community lists and our own rules. It does not remove everything, and sometimes it breaks a site. When it does, turn blocking off for that site with the shield in the address bar.
Warnings about dangerous sites rest on the public lists of the Bank of Russia, of financial regulators in other countries and of the PhishTank phishing database. These lists are incomplete and can be wrong. No warning does not mean a site is safe, and a warning is not an accusation against the site’s owner. Whether to open a site is your decision.
Russian certificates
Sverk trusts the Russian root certificate of the Ministry of Digital Development, but only for Russian domains — under .ru, .su and .рф — and for the sites of a few Russian banks under .com. For every other site the certificate does not count. It is not installed into the system and works only inside Sverk. The list of domains is updated with the browser. The sites and their certificates are their owners’ responsibility.
Updates
Sverk for Windows updates itself from our server. On a phone, updates come from wherever you installed the app. Updates fix vulnerabilities, so install them.
We may change, add and remove features of Sverk, and we may stop distributing it.
What you must not do
- use Sverk or our servers to break the law or anyone’s rights;
- interfere with our servers — for example, flood them with requests or try to reach what is closed;
- pass off an altered copy of Sverk as ours.
No warranty
Sverk is provided “as is”. We work to make it reliable, but we do not promise that it will run without errors or interruptions, fit a particular purpose or open every site. The same applies to the open-source components: their warranty disclaimers are in their licences.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data or the actions of third-party sites and services. Our liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for Sverk.
Nothing in these terms takes away consumer rights that the law gives you and that a contract cannot limit.
Privacy
What Sverk sends, to whom and why is in the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. A new version appears on this page with the date it takes effect, and we announce significant changes on sverk.ai in advance. If you keep using Sverk after that date, you accept the new version.
Ending and disputes
You can stop using Sverk and remove it at any time. These terms then end, except the sections on limitation of liability and on warranties.
If something goes wrong, write to us at support@sverk.ai. We will try to settle it without going to court.
